Jannet Burton Obituary (1953

Jannet Burton Jannet Burton formerly of Ogden, passed away January 27, 2013 in Murray, Utah. Jannet was born July 9, 1953 in Ogden the daughter of Lenora Dockery Burton and Chest Burton Jr. She attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High School, where she sang in the acappella choir and was in the marching band. She also graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Social Work. Jannet worked for Weber Human Services and the IRS. She loved to dance and was especially good at tap-dancing. Jannet is survived by two children; son Moishan Roldan; 5 grandchildren and her siblings, Vernie R. Steverson (Conrad), Minnie Roberts, Nayirrah Madyun (the late Pender Madyun), Sharon Danzy (Waldo), Kenneth Burton (LaDonna) and Chest Burton III and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, her twin sister, Jennett Burton and Lorraine Burton Cooper. Jannet is loved and will be greatly missed. A Homecoming Memorial Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, 33rd and Orchard in Ogden. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
