Jaron Lee Edgar

In the early morning hours of November 30, 2023, Jaron Lee Edgar, known affectionately by many as Jar Bear or the Gentle Giant, embarked on his final road trip. Born on February 23, 1988, in Ogden, UT, Jaron lived his life with tireless resilience, a quick wit, and a belly laugh that could lighten even the darkest of days.
A lover of the open road, Jaron made a career out of his passion, working as a semi truck driver for Skidmore Transportation. He was the embodiment of the phrase "find a job you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." His other passions included being a car enthusiast and target shooting. But his favorite pastime was simply being on the road, where he found peace in the hum of the engine and the ever-changing scenery outside his window.
Jaron was a man of deep love and fierce loyalty, especially when it came to his family. Despite not being married himself, he was a constant fixture in the lives of his family members. He is survived by his father, Christopher Edgar, his mother, Collette Tippy, his brother, Tristin Leishman, and his sister, Jordan Edgar, a grandmother, Judy Slocum, 3 nephews and a niece, Zayne, Khyon, Greyson and Braiyah. He adored his niece and nephews and often found himself playing the role of the funny, loving uncle and father figure. He was a steadfast motivator, always encouraging those around him to strive for their best.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Jaron's life on Saturday, December 9, 2023. A viewing will be held from 1-2 pm at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, 84404, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 pm. The Celebration of LIfe will be live streamed and can be watched by scrolling to the bottom of Jaron's obituary page.
Jaron Edgar's life was a journey filled with love, laughter, and the occasional bout of engine trouble. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
