AIRMAN JASON J. DOYLE
SUNSET/OMAHA, NB - Airman Jason J. Doyle, 19, of Omaha, Nebraska, previously of Sunset, Utah, was lost at sea on Saturday, July 8th. Jason was assigned to the Electronic Attack Squadron VAQ-136 on board the USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) while conducting operations in the Philippine Sea in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
He was born February 21, 1987 in Layton, Utah to Dale L. Doyle and Martha E. Bower.
Jason was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Acquiring a passion for culture and travel, Jason enlisted into the Navy prior to graduating from high school; Jason was an active member of the NJROTC at Papillion La Vista South High School where he graduated.
Jason enjoyed geography and traveling. He was humorous and loved making people laugh. He approached everything with passion and was very family-oriented. He was sensitive to others' needs and very courageous to leave his close family to join the Navy and see the world. Jason loved obtaining knowledge and learning new languages that included Spanish, German and Japanese. He was extremely fun-loving, caring and thoughtful--he will be missed by all!
He is survived by his parents, Martha E. Bower and Dale L. (Susie) Doyle; a sister and brother, Shauna and Brandon Doyle; grandparents, Alice Bower and Alfred and Carol Doyle. He is also survived by Brian and Colby Brown, Whitney and Ashley Compton; numerous close-nit aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended step-family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Montie Bower.
The family wishes to express thanks to their extended family, friends and the U.S. Navy for their love, care and support during this trial.
