Ogden, Utah

Javier Rascon Jr., 25, passed away September 7, 2024 in Ogden, Utah. He was born May 20, 1999 to Javier and Marie Rascon in Lexington, Nebraska.
With Jr., life wasn't about finding yourself; it was about creating yourself. He had a remarkable personality that made everyone feel energized. He always encouraged others to be themselves and express their true selves, and he never wasted love or kindness. Javier (Jr.) was excellent at carrying on conversations; his voice was soothing, much like the sound of soft falling rain. He never spoke ill of anyone and always sought to see the good in people. He was the light of his mother Marie's eyes.
Marie cherished their time alone together, often noting how much they talked during these moments. Javier (Jr.) and his sister Jasmine were like two peas in a pod, always laughing and enjoying each other's company. The love between Javier, his mother, and Jasmine was evident. Despite living a couple of states away, Javier kept in touch with his dad regularly. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles and frequently discussed his ambitions and goals.
Javier enjoyed camping, hiking, and peaceful rides with his dog Max, who has since passed away. He often spoke fondly of the beautiful scenery on his rides. He was also an avid gamer, playing with friends from around the globe. Despite working graveyard shifts, he would come home and play his games until late afternoon before going to bed to prepare for his evening shift. He worked as a forklift driver for Autoliv for seven years.
Javier was not fond of having his picture taken, and if a photo didn't turn out well, he wouldn't allow another attempt. He preferred to make remarks that would make everyone laugh. He had many friends and a best friend, all of whom will miss him deeply.
Jr. will be profoundly missed. The pain in our hearts will never fade, but we find comfort knowing he is in a brighter place with his beloved dog, Max. He cherished his uncles, aunts, and cousins, remembering all their names. He also loved his grandma Diane's cooking, particularly her upside-down pineapple cake, which was his favorite.
Our lives will never be the same without him. He was deeply loved by all his family. Rest in peace, Javier Rascon Jr.--son, brother, grandson, and cousin.
He is survived by Marie Rascon (Mother), Javier Rascon (Father), Jasmine Rascon (Sister), Diane Orosco (Grandmother), and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral service will be Saturday, September 14, 2024, 11:00 a.m., with a viewing prior 9:00 - 10:45 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah. Interment will be at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
