Jaxon Mckee Whatcott Obituary (1997 - 2014)

Daulton Rey Whatcott and Jaxon McKee Whatcott, died July 20, 2014 near Littlefield, AZ in a tragic plane accident. Daulton was born December 8, 1994 in Logan, UT. Jaxon was born December 7, 1997 in Layton, UT. Daulton graduated from Syracuse High School Class of 2013. He was attending Utah State University. He received his pilot license in May and was working on a career in the airline industry. Daulton was working at American Stone in Sunset. Daulton is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Daulton loves hanging with his boys, his girl friends, flying, laughing, playing and making music, and competing at everything. He plays the harmonica, guitar, piano, and ukulele. He played club Soccer for the Aftershocks and Rampage, winning a state championship in 2008 with his U13 Rampage Soccer Club. He also played football for Clinton little league and for Syracuse High School. He played Lacrosse for Syracuse High School where he helped the team make it to the State finals in 2013 as a starting Attack, scoring goals in all the playoff games. His love was basketball. He played basketball for numerous competitive basketball teams, including Monstars, Red Devils, West Point Junior High, A-Train, and Syracuse High School. For SHS, Daulton helped his team reach the 5A State Quarterfinals and was awarded 2nd Team All Area by the Standard Examiner and All Region Honorable Mention. Daulton is the most competitive and bull-headed person we know. He fought to win at everything. He was driven to become a pilot and he worked so hard to get that done. That's the Daulton we all know, he gave it his all and we know he fought for his brother until the end. Daulton was amazing at everything he tried. Daulton could get anything he wanted from his mom with his amazing and goofy wit and beautiful smile. Jaxon was attending Syracuse High School where he was to begin his Junior year this fall. Jaxon is Class of 2016. Jaxon worked at the Hokulia shack in Clinton and Clearfield. Jaxon is a member of the Church of Jesus Chris of Latter Day Saints. Jaxon loves hanging with his boys, his girl friends, loving, laughing, playing and making music and was always happy. He plays the piano, guitar, and ukulele. He played club Soccer for Rampage Soccer Club. He also played football for Clinton little league. His love was basketball. He played basketball for numerous competitive basketball teams, including West Point, West Point Junior High, Syracuse Elite, Utah Hustle, Utah Elite, and Syracuse High School. In 2011, Jaxon was awarded the West Point Junior High Basketball "Mr. Future" award. As a 9th grader he was voted as co-MVP of his team, helping them to reach district quarterfinals. Jaxon is the most fun-loving and happy kid we know. No one can ever remember him being upset, mad, angry, or mean. He had dreams of playing college basketball. He was working hard to attain that. Everyone marveled at the shots he could make and his beautiful shooting form and stroke. He could make anyone laugh. He made everyone love him and he loved them back. Jaxon could always get out of trouble with his mom by giving her a hug and a smile. We are so grateful to the countless friends, teammates, and coaches that both our boys played ball with. They had the time of their lives. The only thing that they loved more was their family and friends. Daulton loved to challenge his friends and "make memories". Jaxon too loved to challenge his friends and "go on adventures". Now they will do it together in the heavens. We know how much you will miss your mom. Recently, you argued over which one of you she loved the most. It is both of you! She is going to miss the endless and precious talks with both of you. Daulton, she will miss driving you up to 7-11 late at night just so you could hang out with her and didn't have to drive. Jaxon, she will miss making you dinner late at night just so you could talk to her while she cooked and you ate. As a family, we would hang-out together and talk, laugh, play, and watch movies and sports together in mom and dad's bedroom. We loved to play volleyball and basketball, swim, go to 7-11 for a Mountain Dew, shopping, and going to the movies together. We have no regrets and we know you don't either. We love you for eternity and will miss you until we meet again! The boys are survived by their parents, Rhett and Eileen Whatcott; older brother, Dace Whatcott and younger sister, Aubri Whatcott; Grandparents, Glenn and Joyce Whatcott, Gaylon and EvaDean McKee, Jeff and Gayle Whatcott, and Dennis (deceased) and Nancy Brewster; Great grandmothers, Thelma McKee, second wife of Reed McKee and SusAnn McKee, third wife of Reed McKee and numerous loving, supportive, and precious uncles, aunts, and cousins. They were preceded in death by great grandparents, Reed & Eileen McKee, Bernard and Phebe Bushnell, Rey and Ina Huber, Wade and Frances Brewster; grandfather, Dennis Brewster (married to Nancy); uncle, Ronald Brewster; and cousin, Kayzia Fawcett.
