Jaxon Harley Woodson
August 18, 2009 – August 11, 2026
Jaxon Harley Woodson’s incredible life was tragically cut short on August 11, 2026, following a car accident. Though his time here was far too short, Jaxon lived more in his 16 years than most people could fit into a lifetime.
Jaxon was born to Travis and Mandy Woodson on August 18, 2009, at Ogden Regional Medical Center. He entered this world the same way he lived his life, on his own terms. Coming three weeks early and weighing less than six pounds. From the very beginning, he was strong-willed, stubborn, and determined. Those who knew him best would tell you that stubborn streak never left him.
And while Jaxon was fiercely independent, fearless, and always ready for his next adventure, he was a mama’s boy through and through. He had his mom completely wrapped around his finger, and he knew it. No matter how big, tough, or grown he thought he was, there was always a special place for his mom. Their bond was something truly special, and she would have moved mountains for her boy.
Jaxon had no fear and had to try everything at least once, including swimming with sharks and learning to fly a plane. From the moment he could walk and hold a wrench, you could find him in the garage with his dad, tinkering, fixing cars, and learning everything he could. He loved skateboarding, four-wheeling, camping, going to the gym, football, and trucks. He was an avid car and truck lover and could often be found at local car meets, truck pulls, rodeos, or anywhere there was something with an engine.
Jaxon’s passions were many, but none compared to the love he had for his family and friends and of course, the San Francisco 49ers. He was a proud 49ers fan and never missed an opportunity to make sure everyone knew it.
Jaxon was a proud student of Utah Military Academy, where he loved nothing more than being part of the football team. Go Thunderbirds! He took great pride in his JROTC accomplishments and was proud of the person he was becoming.
Jaxon had big dreams and the ambition to make them happen. He was set to begin his senior year on August 17 and was only a few classes away from graduating early in December. He had been accepted to WyoTech and was looking forward to beginning that next chapter in June, pursuing his passion for cars and mechanics.
Jaxon spent his time playing games with his brother, Trey, tinkering in the garage with his dad, and making memories with the people he loved. When he wasn't home, he could be found driving around, hanging out with his friends-his other brothers, not by blood, but by choice. There wasn't a moment in Jaxon's life when he simply sat still. He lived life at full speed, loved fiercely, laughed hard, and left his mark everywhere he went.
To know Jaxon was to love Jaxon. He could be stubborn and sweet, hardheaded and tenderhearted, tough and incredibly loving all at the same time. He had a presence that could fill a room, and his absence now leaves an emptiness that words cannot begin to describe.
Jaxon’s life may have been far too short, but the impact he made was anything but. He was deeply loved by his family, cherished by his friends, and loved by a community that will never forget him. His memory will live on in the roar of an engine, the sound of tires on pavement, a football field, a garage filled with tools, a truck rolling down the road, and in every person who was lucky enough to call him theirs.
Jaxon is survived by his parents, Travis and Mandy Woodson; his brother, Trey Woodson; grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; and countless friends who became family.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Terence Woodson; his aunt, Lynzi Dean; his cousin, Hunter Woodson; his great-uncles, Bryce Galbraith, Clint Galbraith, and Gayden Woodson; and his great-grandparents.
Forever 16. Forever our boy. Forever loved.
