Jean Carver Salmon Belnap
1932 - 2015
Ogden - The most loving, caring, fun, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma and friend, returned home to be with many loved ones waiting for her on August 10, 2015. She was born April 20, 1932 to George W. Carver and Phyllis A. Stokes in Ogden, Utah, in the original Thomas D. Dee Memorial Hospital.
Jean loved every day of school and had many friends her whole life. She attended Madison Elementary, Mound Fort Jr. High and then onto Ogden High School, graduating with the class of 1950. She maintained an interest in being a part of every five year reunion.
Jean married Robert G. Salmon on April 30, 1952 in the Logan Temple. She was blessed with three wonderful children, David Salmon, Debra (Jim) Hohosh and Becky (Randy) Thornock. Bob and Jean divorced in January 1973. Jean married E. Dar Belnap from Weber High School class of "50"- a father of six wonderful children. She loved and enjoyed all of them. Their calls, cards, presents, pictures and visits made them close. Judy (Brian) Melaney, Janet (Jeff) Mead, Jeff (Amy) Belnap, Brad (Donna) Belnap, Blake (Amy) Belnap and Angie Belnap. Between Jean and Dar, they were blessed with nine children, 35 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.
She had a wonderful witty sense of humor and knew how to make people laugh. Her many endearing qualities will leave a lifelong impression on all who really knew her. Most of her life was spent helping people, especially family in their last years and days at our earthly home.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had an abiding faith in Jesus Christ. She served in leadership and teaching positions for the Primary, Young Womens and Relief Society.
