–

Plain City, Utah

Jeffery "Brent" Cagle, passed away on November 2, 2026, at the age of 77 from complications due exposure to Agent Orange while serving in the Vietnam War. Born on April 5, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Brent was a cherished son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He spent his formative years in Brigham City, Utah, where he cultivated a love for family and community that would define his life. Brent's resilience and humor left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Brent proudly served his country in the Vietnam War, earning multiple military medals for his dedicated service. He continued his career as the Deputy Director at Hill Air Force Base's Defense Logistics Agency, retiring in 2005 after 36 years of commendable federal service. Brent's commitment to his work was matched only by his passion for golf, where he managed multiple golf leagues, and his love for cars, skiing, and the great outdoors. He was known for his joyful McDonald's runs, fashion shows after taking the grandkids school shopping, and his pristine lawn, which he maintained with pride.

Family was the cornerstone of Brent's life. Married to his beloved wife, DeAnn, since November 17, 1972, they built a life filled with love and laughter. Brent is survived by his wife, DeAnn Cagle; his sons, Cody (Amy), Jess, and Cole Cagle. His grandchildren, Summer Olsen (Matt), Adree Cagle, Brooklyn( Drake) Warren, Ian Cagle, Max Cagle, and Kelly Cagle, and great grandson Trigg Olsen were the light of his life, whom he cherished and spoiled at every opportunity. Brent is also survived by his adoring sisters, Jill Kelly, Jennifer (Jenny) Price, and Julie Coleman, along with his brother-in-law, Keith Price, and sister-in-law, Sherry Cagle and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Cagle, his brother Robert "Bob" Cagle, and his brother-in-law, Dal Coleman.

Brent's generosity knew no bounds, often seen handing out mints and cash, buying gas and making sure everyone's tank was full before they departed from visiting with him, and always putting others first. His legacy is one of selflessness, humor, and unyielding love for his family and friends. Brent's sisters often spoke of the special bond they shared, a testament to his role as a beloved brother. As we remember Brent’s vibrant life, we invite family and friends to share memories and upload photos to his memorial page, celebrating the life of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many.
