Jerry Warren Obituary (1940 - 2004)

Jerry Warren Jerry Warren went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, May 9, 2004 at his home in Tempe, Arizona due to heart failure. Jerry was born on February 14, 1940 to Al and Zel Warren of North Ogden. Jerry had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and loved the Lord very much. Jerry was a devoted husband, father and friend. He was always helping those in need in a quiet, unassuming way. He never wanted any recognition for his selfless service. He was a delight to all who knew him and the big guy with the great heart and hearty laugh will be dearly missed. Jerry moved from Ogden and lived most of his adult life in Arizona where he worked in law enforcement, retiring as Sergeant of the Special Enforcement Unit of the Tempe Police Department. Jerry also served his country as a member of the United States Army. Jerry married Bonnie McKay Markiewicz on August 18, 1984. Jerry is survived by his wonderful family, wife Bonnie, brother Doug and Linda Warren, Jerolyn and Mike Cappello, Jeff and Connie Markiewicz, Kim Blasdel, De Elmer, Helen Gwilliam, Pauline Warren, Mike Hulet, Nichole and Bradey Finamore, Collette and Mark Anderson, Suzette and D.J. Randall, Angie and Dale Krise, Tanya and Roger Sibley, Jeff and Connie Markiewicz, and Pam and Ardan Devine. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to Love-N-Care Ministries, c/o Valley View Baptist Church. This ministry runs an orphanage in India. A memorial service will also be held in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday, May 22nd.
