Jerry Leon Nelson of South Ogden passed away August 4, 2014 at his home. He was born June 29, 1935 in Ogden, Utah to Edna Greenwell and William Jenning Nelson. He graduated from Weber High School. He served in the US Army.

Jerry married Barbara Warr, the love of his life, on March 2, 1957 in England.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara; daughter, Tina Nelson and son Gary (Denine) Nelson; 4 grandchildren, Candice, Brock (Jen), Trevor (Heather) and Allie; 2 great-grandchildren, Ashlynn and Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister, Joanne Panter and sister, Diane McBride.

A gathering will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, where military honors will be accorded; cremation to follow. Per Dads request please dress in your favorite jeans and tee shirts.
