Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Jesse R. Rodriguez, passed away peacefully, at the age of 91, on July 17, 2015. We were fortunate to have him live at home throughout his whole life. He was born on December 24, 1923 in Rock Springs, WY to Antonio and Juanita Rodriguez. Jesse married, Ruby Rivera, on June 18, 1955. They recently celebrated their 60th Anniversary.
Jesse was raised on a ranch south of Rocks Springs, WY. He had many stories about the family's summer ranch and the winter ranch. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force.

He enjoyed working as a mechanic and as a steel worker. He was a co-owner with his son at Rodriguez and Son Steel Fabrication. He retired at 68.
Jesse enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was very creative and could fix anything. He was an avid reader, participating in book club with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He could speak to any topic and was a very patient husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; children, Anna (Steve) Gay and Stephanie Rodriguez; grandchildren, Brandon (Carsen) Gay; their children, Kash, Jake and Josey; Shandel (Seth) Hadlock; their children, Cheyenne and Judd; and Shannon (Shawn) Storey; their son, Weston; sisters, Julia Skiles and Ella (Silas) Yeager; brothers, Gus (Mary) Rodriguez, Richard (Maria) Rodriguez and Anthony Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Bessie Rodriguez; and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Pierre; daughter-in-law, Kathy; and brother, Homer.

A celebration of life will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the North Ogden Senior Center, 485 East 2550 North.
