Jill Aldrich Fridberg

–

Ogden, Utah

Jill Aldrich Fridberg passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of October 26th, 2026.

Born on April 15th, 1956 in Ogden, Utah to Alice and Emile Aldrich, Jill was the second youngest of six siblings. She was preceded in death by older brothers Bill and Azer, older sister Julie, as well as her granddaughter Kari.

Jill attended Weber State University, where she earned a degree in Criminal Justice and Social Work. She went on to work as a Social Worker for Weber County and the State of Utah Juvenile Justice. Her compassion and generosity extended beyond her career. Jill was always there to lend a helping hand, whether you were a stranger or a friend. Jill's big heart was matched only by her resilience and toughness, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her.

With a sense of humor that was quick-witted and sarcastic, Jill had the unique ability to bring warmth and laughter to any room. She was the life of the party, gravitating others toward her like a magnet. This energy reflected in the love and laughter that surrounded her, and the literal waiting line to chat to her anytime she was in a room full of people.

Jill had a profound love for animals and gained immense fulfillment and comfort in being surrounded by them. This includes the many pet dogs and cats she rescued over the years, but there was no animal in need she would not help, whether it be building a warm house for stray cats, saving a stranded baby crow, or buying special food for the backyard raccoons.

When she was not spending time with loved ones or pets, Jill was a woman of many interests and hobbies. She loved all kinds of crafting and cooking, and on any trip to the store you could make a bet on hearing the phrase "I could make that". She loved working in her garden and could grow anything from succulents, to vibrant flowers, to gourds (which she would hollow and make into birdhouses). She loved to travel and tell endless stories of her adventures and the many lives she lived.

One of her many lives introduced her to her husband, Scott Fridberg. Jill met Scott when she was working as a bartender, and they were best friends for as long as anyone can remember. Any free weekend, Jill and Scott could be found on a motorcycle ride out of town or to somewhere with a scenic view.

Jill is also survived by her children, Koreeanne Cutts, Cody Aldrich (Misty), Alice Aldrich (Cameron), grandchildren Spencer Mcfarland (Makyla), Madison Bailey (Blake), lifelong friend John Cutts (Lee), siblings Jeanne Aldrich and Wayne Aldrich (Valerie), and too many nieces, nephews, and other loved ones to possibly list in one place. Her adventurous spirit, energy, love, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

An open house celebration of life will be held on November 6, 2026 from 2:00-4:00, at Myer's Mortuary at 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84404. Family, friends, and all whose lives Jill touched are invited to attend and share their memories.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jill's memory to Best Friends Animal Society, The Utah Humane Society, or your local animal shelter. This gesture will continue her legacy of caring for the animals she so dearly loved.
