Joan Rasmussen Jackson

Joan was born on November 2, 1948, to Evan Hancock Jackson and Elva Rasmussen Jackson. She passed away February 17, 2009.

Joan was tiny and sweet. Mom made a promise that she would raise her the best way she could with Heavenly Father's help. She kept her promise and Joan flourished and excelled. Joan was happy and cheerful. Mom said, "She was a busy, busy girl." Joan could light up a room and bring a smile to everyone when she giggled her little laugh. Joan graduated from Box Elder High School and participated in Special Olympics. She loved to bowl and always shouted for joy when anyone rolled a strike. Joan worked for Pizza Hut in Brigham City for over fifteen years. She loved her job and was good at it.

Joan loved little children and cared for many, especially her little sister and her nieces and nephews. Joan loved the scriptures and wrote the words she read in her notebooks where she could understand them. Joan loved her Savior and lived to please Him. She often reminded her family to do what Jesus would do. Joan loved to attend church and loved to serve in the temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She blessed many lives while on this earth and now continues her service with Mom and Dad.

We love you little sis. You will be missed and we hope to be worthy to be in you presence with our Father in Heaven. Love Evan, Jarvis and Camie

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, where friends and family may visit from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment will be in the Bear River City Cemetery.
