Joanne B (Aka Claire) Shaw Obituary (2017

JoAnne B. (Jo) Shaw met her high school sweetheart, Bob, at the bridge on April 22, 2017. He was waiting for her at the river to help her cross over. How happy they are to be together again! Jo was born on June 16, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Anthony M. Brown and Nellie Weiler Brown. She married Robert W. (Bob) Shaw on February 8, 1957. How they loved each other! He preceded her over the bridge on October 30, 2007. They were sealed together in the Ogden Utah Temple for all eternity on April 18, 2009. She loved spending time with her family and numerous friends. She loved photography, working in her beautiful yard, and taking care of everyone. She will truly be missed. Jo is survived by: her daughters, Deb (Blake) Thomas and Sherri (Kevan) Nilsson, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by 12 siblings and their families. She loved all of us and knew us well. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Please join us in a Celebration of Her Life on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at 11:00 am at LDS Church, 2435 East 1500 North, Layton, Utah. Friends are invited to greet Jo's family one hour prior to the celebration. Jo's wishes were to be cremated. Interment will be at a later date in Evergreen Memorial Park, Ogden, Utah.
