OGDEN - Joe M. Gallegos, age 62, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2003 at his home.

He was born September 14, 1941 in Montrose, CO to Mike and Mary L. Arellano Garcia. He married Maria Patsy Lucero on December 14, 1960 in Montrose, CO. They later divorced.

He served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the IRS and later at Enable Industries.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed life, especially the outdoors, fishing, camping and deer hunting with friends and family.

Surviving are his children, Georgia (Brad) Peer, Ogden; Zackary (Yvette Landreth) Gallegos, Ogden; Yvette (Arturo Lopez) Gallegos, Willard; his mother, Mary Garcia, Ogden; 11 grandchildren; one great grandson; a sister, Laura Stewart of Ogden; three nieces; one nephew; and one great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by twin sons, Joseph and Delfin; his stepfather, Mike Garcia; and an uncle, John E. Arellano.
