Joeanne H. Pitkin Obituary (1942 - 2013)

JoeAnne H. Pitkin SUNSET - JoeAnnes Long hard battle is over and she has passed away from complications due to Myeloma Cancer on April 6, 2013, at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield, Utah and was surrounded by her family. JoeAnne was born on April 4, 1942 to Elton and Edna Hamblin in Clearfield Utah. She has three brothers and one sister. She married and was sealed to Leonard T. Pitkin on January 31, 1963 in the Logan Temple. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family members. She attended and graduated from Davis High School. JoeAnne also attended and graduated from CCI trade school. She worked many part time jobs but was a terrific full time stay at home mom. She is a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many callings. Her devotion to her family was paramount and she is going to leave a long lasting legacy. Her interests were camping, fishing, scrap booking and attending anything her children or grandchildren did. We wish to thank all of the many doctors and people who helped her this past several months but especially those at Liberty Dialysis and Rocky Mountain Care Center. She is survived by her three children Tracy (Jill), Dale (Deanna), Clay (Heidi), her husband and seven grandchildren and her brothers, Neldon, Carl, and sister, Susan. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, Roland and grandson, Cody. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
