John J. Christensen

BRIGHAM CITY - John James Christensen was reunited with his three beautiful sisters, Carrie, Sarah and Robin on November 27, 2011.
Johnny was born in Beaufort South Carolina on April 7, 1974. He moved with his family to Brigham City Utah in 1975 where he grew up loving soccer, basketball, and football. He was active in student government and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1992.
He married the love of his life, Kimberly Dawn Hollingsworth on June 12, 2002 in Jamaica.
He was a strong man with a kind and gentle heart. He had a gift for putting people at ease and making people laugh. Music and art were his life. John loved to play the guitar and loved to create music and jam out with family and friends. John had a real knack at gardening and creating meals from what he had grown. His greatest passion of all was his three boys. He loved them dearly and was a wonderful father.
He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelors in Psychology and received his Master of Counseling in Mental Health from University of Phoenix. He was currently practicing with Associated Psychotherapists in Brigham City, UT and also worked as an on-line professor of Psychology for Stevens Henager College.
He is survived by his wife Kimberly Hollingsworth Christensen, sons Carter, Gavin and London, and his cat "Michi". He is also survived his parents Dr. John Craig and LouAnn Christensen and Barbara Brearton. He is also survived by his brothers Andrew, Paul (Anne) Coe, David (Sandra) Coe, Jeff (Gina) Coe, Aaron Kramer, Sister Lauren Christensen, and nieces Annie Christensen and Alexandrea Coe.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 20th Ward, 650 Anderson Dr., Brigham City.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, and on Friday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the John J. Christensen Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank.
