JOHN DALE PICKETT

SUNSET - John Dale Pickett, 77, passed away Friday, August 3, 2001 from cancer.

He was born January 18, 1924 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Paul and Margaret Darney Pickett.

John married Vivian McArthur on November 6, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple.

He was a veteran during WW II serving in the United States Army.

John was a member of the Sunset 5th Ward.

John worked for 35 years at Hill Air Force Base and was a part time barber. He had many friends and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed playing golf.
He had been a member of the Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian of Sunset; one son, John David Pickett of Sunset; one daughter, Karen P. (Gary) Snow, of Ogden; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also surviving, one sister Loujean Ogden of Ogden, many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Leila Thurman, sister Barbara, brothers Paul and Walter.
