John Mathew Ruiz

Brigham City - John Mathew Ruiz, 44 died Sunday, May 7, 2006 in Brigham City.
He was born on August 8, 1961 in Ogden, UT to James Ruiz and Isabel Pina Anguiano.
John married Vicki Martinez on November 8, 1980.
He retired from the US Army; John worked at Hill Air Force Base as a Train Conductor for five years. John loved hunting, fishing, four wheeling and anything to do with the mountains and spending time with grandchildren.
Surviving are his parents, James and Isabel, wife, Vickie, Brigham City, children, Sherry (Ivan) Ruiz, Willard; Natalie (Westley) Callaway, Japan; Selena (Jeppsen) Johansen, Georgia; two grandchildren, sisters, Mary Ruiz, and Leticia (Aurelio) Ponce, brothers, James (Angela) Ruiz, Jr., Jesse (Rene) Ruiz, Daniel Anguiano, and Sam Manuel.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Maria Eva Ruiz.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 12, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.
Military Honors will be accorded by the VFW following the services.
Friends may meet the family from 5:00 to 5:50 p.m. at the Mortuary.
Interment will be in the Willard Cemetery at a later date.
