John David Sandry

OGDEN - John David Sandry, 73, passed away Friday, August 26, 2005 at Manor Care in South Ogden, UT. He was born in Thief River Falls, MN on March 30, 1932 to parents Bert and Martha Sandry. He was courageous throughout this difficult time and did not complain of his many illnesses.

John attended and graduated from schools in Fosston, MN. He served in the army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He had been a mechanic for most of his life but was also a heavy equipment operator. He loved to hunt and fish, go camping and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed all his friends at Wangsgards for a cup of coffee and story telling. John will be sorely missed by his family.

John met and married his loving wife, Bette, in 1968 and were to have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary later this year.

John is survived by his wife and two daughters, Karrie (Keith) Murdock, Clinton; and Debbie (Larry) Galberd, GA; and seven grandchildren, Thomas, Kelly, Scott, Adam, Zachary, Ryan and Emily who loved their grandfather very much. He is also survived by five brothers and one sister, Merle, AZ; Vern, AZ; Earl, IL; Harry, IL; Robert, FL; and Helen, IL; and a son, David, from a previous marriage. John was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alfred.

Our family would like to thank all the special people at Hearts for Hospice who gave such excellent care and love to John and his family. We also thank the caring nurses and aides at ManorCare.
