John Snow

OGDEN - John Snow, 91, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Mt. Ogden Care Center.

He was born August 8, 1912 in Parkgate, Yorkshire, England, a son of Patrick James and Sarah Mellor Snow.

On December 26, 1933 he married Olive I'Anson-Holton in Rotherham, England. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. She preceded him in death on January 14, 2000.

John was a member of the L.D.S. 31st Ward and had been the ward clerk for a number of years and had accepted other church callings.

He worked in the coalmines in England for 23 years. After coming to America, he was employed as a warehouseman at McKesson & Robbins.

He is survived by one son; Paul J. (Nancy) Snow of Ogden and one daughter; Shirley (Richard) Horsley of Provo. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive; one grandson, Mathew and his parents, Patrick James Snow and Sarah Mellor Snow.
