BRIGHAM CITY - Jorge Manuel Carter-Jara passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the University of Utah Hospital.
Jorge was born in Santiago, Chile on July 7, 1938 a son of Manuel Jesus Carter Orellana and Teresa de Jesus Jara Bustos.
Jorge married Yolanda del Carmen Cruz Galvez on December 31, 1957 in Santiago, Chile.
He was an Electrical Technician.
Jorge was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked for 7 years on Family History. He enjoyed reading scriptures and history related materials.

Surviving are his children: Yolanda Terasa Carter Cruz, Yolanda Georgette Carter Cruz, Jorge Esteban Carter Cruz, Veronia Rosalva Carter Cruz, Ruth Elizabeth Carter Cruz, Josue Manuel Carter Cruz, Ximena Loreto Carter Cruz, Leonardo Enrrique Carter Cruz, Alma Winnifred Carter Cruz.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brigham South Stake Center, 865 S. 300 W., Brigham City, UT.
Friends may call on Thursday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on Friday from 12:00 to 12:40 p.m. at the Church.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
