Joseph "David" Archibeque

Joseph David Archibeque, known affectionately as David, passed from this life on May 31, 2026, just shy of his 76th birthday. David was born on June 28, 1950, in Cortez, Colorado.

He was a free spirit, an escape artist of sorts, who found his joy in the simplest pleasures of life. An outdoorsman at heart, David valued the peace of nature and the thrill of exploration. He also had a soft spot for the arts, with the film Grease and the classic TV show Bonanza among his favorites, revealing his love for nostalgia and the charm of yesteryears.

David was a beloved figure in his community, known for his infectious enthusiasm and his radiant smile.

He is survived by his brother, George Jr.

David was preceded in death by his parents, George Archibeque Sr. and MaryLee Lobato; as well as his other brother, Stanley; whom he held dear to his heart.

David will be laid to rest on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Layton Memorial Park, located at 1867 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah, 84041.
