JOSEPH PHILLIP CALKINS II

CLEARFIELD - Joseph Phillip Calkins, 25, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at his home.

He was born March 23, 1982 at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, the son of Stephanie Calkins and Jim Barnard.

He married the only woman he ever loved, Nicole Elbrader on March 23, 2003.

Joey was a devoted husband, father and son, and was a caring, loving person, who touched all of our lives. His children were his whole world, he was so very proud of each of them.

Joey was a very giving, unselfish person, who always put his family first. He loved playing basketball, and was a very talented song writer and singer. He once opened for The Dog Pound, when they came here to Utah. Joey is now in the arms of his grandmother, Annis Retzlaff, who he loved deeply.

From Mom to Joey:
Since the day you were born, I loved you more than life itself. You were my one and only and you were all I ever needed. You were my best friend and I love you so very much, I don't know how to go on without your love, your touch, your smile, the pain is unbearable. Grandma will take care of you until we're together again.

My "Eternal" Love
I thank you for the last 9 A 1/2 years we spent together and I feel lucky you chose me to spend your life with. I love you so much and I thank you for giving me our three beautiful babies. We will miss your smiling face and your loving but sometimes UFC touch. I am sad you're not here with me anymore, but I know you're in a better place now and you're no longer in pain. I love you babe, your "woman".

Joey is survived by his loving wife, Nicole, and their three children; Elijah, Taylee and Sadie; his loving parents Stephanie and Jim, and sister Krystal.

Not a day will pass that my son will not be missed by everyone who had the privilege to meet him. May God watch over him until we meet again.
