Josephine Holt Ormond Obituary (1922 - 2008)

Josephine Holt Ormond OGDEN - Josephine Holt Ormond died September 15, 2008 in Brigham City, Utah. She was born in Spanish Fork, Utah, the daughter of William David and Zella Ann Monk Holt. She married Parley Reed Ormond June 11, 1948 in Logan, Utah. She played clarinet with bands throughout her school years and participated in choirs and was a member of 4H Clubs. She was also a member of Tau Zeta Tau Society and Lambda Delta Sigma. Josephine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She taught Primary, Jr. Sunday School, was chorister, a member of the Mutual and Sunday School Boards, Stake Missionary, chorister at Gardens Retirement Home, secretary and chorister of Jr. Sunday School, librarian, Ogden Temple worker, and on the Ward Genealogy Committee and sang with the Singing Mothers. She is survived by her husband; daughter Zella Ann Ormond (Gary) Christensen; son William Reed (Natalie)Ormond; four grandchildren Amy Lynn Ormond, Nathan William Ormond, Ryan George Ormond and Andrew Benjamin Ormond; one sister Phyllis Markham. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Ashlee Jo Ormond; two sisters Zella and Donna Emma Holt; brother Leon Grant Holt. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 19, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Rock Cliff Stake Center, 1000 Suncrest Dr., Ogden. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden and Friday prior to the service at the church from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park.
