Judd Forsgren Obituary (1928 - 2022)

Judd Forsgren 93, was called home to his Heavenly Father on January 21,2022 at his home in West Haven, from causes incident to age. He was born April 8, 1928 in Bothwell, Utah the son of Vivian and Kathleen (Steele) Forsgren. With the loss of his mother at a young age, he learned, out of necessity, how to work hard on the family farm. He continued to work in farming helping others throughout his youth. He worked for R J Wight feed mill, where he worked long, hard hours repairing, remodeling the mill and delivering feed for 22 years. ln 1966 he began working at Weber State College. He worked in the buildings and grounds department which suited him perfectly because he could build, fix and repair anything presented to him. On April 10, 1953, he married his eternal companion, Nona Flitton in West Ogden. They were sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on their 9th wedding anniversary. This past year they celebrated 68 years of marriage. Judd gave his valentine a heart shaped box of chocolates every year since they met, her 70th one is ready and waiting. He was always willing to give service to anyone who needed help, whether it was family, neighbors or a stranger on the roadside. He loved sharing his work ethic in teaching his grandchildren the value of hard work. He was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many callings and capacities. He and Nona served as service missionaries at the Ogden Cannery in 1992-93. He is survived by his wife, Nona of West Haven. Daughters; Trudy (Dave) lverson of Pleasant View. Jana (Dawain) Spendlove of Clinton. Brenda (Dusty) Hansen of Wellsville, currently serving an LDS mission in Oakland California. Ten grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and all 12 of his brothers and sisters. He was the best husband and father we could have asked for. He loved us intensely and taught us with his quiet example how to love and be faithful until the end. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022, 11:00 AM. At the West Haven Ward Chapel, 3600 S 2700 W, West Haven, Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022, 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Myers Mortuary 5865 S 1900 W Roy, Utah and prior at the chapel from 9:45 - 10:45 AM.
