Judith "Kim" Kimberly Ipsen Obituary (1963 - 2015)

On the evening of Saturday, August 1, 2015, Judith Kimberly (Kim) Ipsen, age 52, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Ogden, Utah. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on February 7, 1963 to Frank A. and Judith A. Ipsen who reside in Willard, Utah. Kim was a victim of a rare syndrome known as Prader Willi Syndrome. She was born at a time when little was known about the syndrome and there were few facilities to accommodate her special needs. She benefited from research as effective ways progressed in dealing with associated problems. She worked at Enable Industries and lived in a group home for people with the syndrome. Avery special thanks to the staff of Chrysalis, her group home provider, Enable Industries, other professional people, and to the many friends who have brought joy into her life. Kim is survived by her parents, three brothers: Frank L. of Willard; Dan (Olga) Ft. Collins, CO; George (Amberlee) of Perry; and three sisters: Tamara (Jim) Bloomington, ID; Natalie, Mendon, UT; and Lynn (Mark) Willard, UT. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Willard LDS Church, 80 N. 100 W., Willard, UT. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be at the Willard Cemetery.
