Judy S Bell- Stenger Obituary (1960

Judy S. Bell-Stenger 1960-2012 ROY- Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and dearly treasured "Matriarch," returned to the loving embrace of our Lord and Christ with open arms on Monday, October 8, 2012. She joyfully joined her mother, step-father, and grandparents peacefully while surrounded by family and friends. Judy blessed this earth with her presence on October 16, 1960, born to Mary Jo Smith and Gerald R. Scott in Ogden, UT. Judy graduated from Bonneville High School in 1978 and would soon attend Weber State University. She continued to pursue higher education throughout her life. In early 1980, she began her decorated career at Hill AFB where she would become a vital asset to many different divisions responsible for supporting the United States Armed Forces. She was admired often by many for her expertise and precise productivity under any circumstance, and was recently the recipient of the Department of the Air Force Exemplary Civilian Service award. Although Judy dedicated so much of her time and effort to her career, her genuine passion was always her family, to include adopted family. Her happiness revolved around taking care of everyone but herself. She always put others needs before her own. She enjoyed music, appreciated any joke, desired long drives observing earthly beauty, admired the salmon spawning at China Meadows National Park in Wyoming, but none of these were complete for her without experiencing them with her loved ones. She was an amazing cook, had a beautiful voice, shared a contagious laugh, had a brilliant mind, a kind heart, and was generous to a fault. Judy is survived by her husband Randy Stenger, three children, Becky (Tim) De Leon, Adam (Brittany) Gallegos, and Jacob Gallegos; grandchildren Gabriel, Gavin, Ethan, Lucas, and Aubrey; brother Phill Smith, sister Lisa (Jeff) Hannes, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous others that considered her a mother. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother Jo, step-father Jess and nephew Ryan Hannes. The family wishes to express infinite gratitude and love for the outpouring of support shown on Judy's behalf in these rough times. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah. Friends and family may gather on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 11:40 - 12:40 p.m., prior to services. Interment in the Ogden City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, per Judy's request, to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
