Julie Simpson Kellos

ROY - Julie Simpson Kellos, loving daughter, mother and grandmother, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, after a valiant battle with cancer.

She was born March 23, 1965, in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Theron Read Simpson and Missy Nydia Babinchak. She graduated from Layton High School, attended Steven Henager College, Stacey's Hands of Champions Beauty College, and Eagle Gate College.
Julie married Gar Ashby in Layton, Utah, and to this union was born their daughter Amber Lynn. They were later divorced. She then married Jay Kellos, in Ogden, Utah, they also later divorced.

She was a faithful Christian, and attended services at Alpine Church in Riverdale.

Julie was the owner of Nail Glyphx Salon, and co-owner of Artistic Image Salon. She also was a beauty consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. Her passion was helping people and she was a Medical Assistant with Utah Cancer Specialists for the past five years.
She was a musician, a singer, songwriter, and was a member of the Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club. She was devoted to her dogs, Bumper, Wiggot, and Gunner.

Julie is survived by her daughter, Amber Lynn Ashby (Kyle D.) Jaques, two grandchildren, Charli Alaine Jaques, Hunter Dean Jaques, and her mother Missy (Mickey) Nydia Babinchak Probert Simpson. She is also survived by her brothers, Randal Probert, David Probert, Read Simpson, all of Utah, and Douglas Simpson, Chicago, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her father, Theron Simpson, and sister, Vickie Simpson.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., at the Alpine Church, 5050 South 1275 West, Riverdale, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah, and on Saturday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to services at the church.
Interment in the Hooper City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any America First Credit Union in Julie Kellos name.
