LAYTON - Julius Wayne Nelson passed away Monday evening from natural causes, with his family by his side. He was born in Ogden on March 6, 1953 to Richard and Julia Nelson.

Wayne worked at Hill Air Force Base and then moved to Green Bay, WI to work in a large corporation and most recently, was self-employed. He moved back to Utah as the biggest Green Bay Packers Fan around. His family was his biggest love along with singing, football, working on computers, and collecting Betty Boop memorabilia. Wayne was a true friend to all he knew and touched many people's lives. He is survived by his parents, his children, grandchildren, Deion and Alijah, his brothers Ken, Orlando, and Claude, sister Barbara, along with (Tommie) Tucker, Mary Bell, Eileen and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
As days go by without me
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name
And took me by the hand
And said my place was ready
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
Those I deeply loved
So when the days go on without me
Don't think I'm far apart,
For every time you think of me
I'm right there in your heart.
