June Curtright Holtan
OGDEN - June Curtright Holtan beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother has completed her mortal mission. She joined her family and friends with our Father in Heaven on September 15, 2006, after seven years of progressive Alzheimer's and finally a series of strokes.
June was born June 5, 1925 in Ogden Utah to Henry S. Curtright and Lucy A. Barker. She grew up in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Ogden High School. She married her husband, Norman J. Holtan on October 22, 1951 and later solemnized their marriage in the Ogden, Utah LDS Temple on October 22, 1994.
June's family was the center of her life and the church was her foundation. She has always been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a member of the Rockcliff 4th Ward and served in several callings in the Relief Society. She loved music and was Chorister for several years. June's life was one of service to others, being active in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and serving as PTA President several times when her children were in school.
Her family always enjoyed the holidays; going home to enjoy the warmth of her love.
June was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters', Henrietta Prows and Rosella Oxnam.
She is survived by her husband Norman, and children Judy Shupe, So. Ogden; Leslie (Willis) Burge, Salt Lake City; Hank (Susan) Holtan, Syracuse; Debbie (Barry) Marshall, Eugene, OR; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Many thanks to the staff at Infinia Nursing Home for their care and support. Special thanks to Shirley Carlos for her friendship and loving care of June in her final hours.
