BRIGHAM CITY - June Hunsaker Whitaker, 90 passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 in Logan, Utah.
June was born in Honeyville, Utah on June 7, 1922 a daughter of James Leland and VaLoye Neeley Hunsaker.
She married Lee Whitaker on February 28, 1941 in Malad, Idaho; their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on June 7, 1961. Lee died on September 16, 1989.
June faithfully served in many positions in the Church.
She enjoyed gardening, canning and baking especially cinnamon rolls. June volunteered at Pioneer Care Center and was a member of DUP. Also loved going hunting out west with the boys and loved fixing lots of chili and cinnamon rolls for everyone. She loved her family and took lots of pride in how many great and great-great-grandchildren she had and loved to brag about them all.
Surviving are her children: Judy (Delwyn) Jensen, Linda (Dennis) McBride, Larry (Nancy) Whitaker, Brent Whitaker, Casey Whitaker, Kevin (Jeanna) Whitaker, 24 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband and sons: Jerry and Shelby and grandson Lane.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 2nd Ward Chapel, 420 S. 800 W., Brigham City.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on Friday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church.
Interment will be in the Honeyville Cemetery.
