Junius Junior Shupe Obituary (1936 - 2017)

Junius "Junior" Shupe August 8, 1936 - August 30, 2017 The man! The myth! The legend! He came into this world on his Grandma's kitchen table, kicking and screaming. So, the story goes. Junior was born August 8, 1936 to Junius Blaine and Laura Jane Dudley Shupe. He was born and raised in Huntsville, Utah. The next 81 years the world was graced with his hunting and fishing shenanigans. He was involved in the Scout's program for a good part of his life. He always had a beautiful garden and a giving heart. He was never short of hugs and stories. All that knew him knew of his love for the outdoors and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Richard and Jay; son-in-law Gene, and grandson Justin; 4 sisters and 1 brother; who prepared heaven for what was coming their way. He was a member of the LDS Church and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife, of 59 years, Loretta; children, Lorrie Fowler, Glenna Shupe, Aaron (Hilary) Shupe; brother, Don Shupe; 17 grandchildren; 26+ great-grandchildren and dozens who considered him family. We are left to continue his legacy. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Lorin Farr LDS Ward, 770 15th Street.
