Kaleb Malcom Boyd Obituary (1932 - 2015)

Born September 14, 1932, to Henry and Lula Boyd, in the small town of Chapin S.C, inside of Newberry County. Kaleb served in the Army 82nd Airborne during the Korean War. Kaleb later moved to Columbia S.C, then from there he later moved to New Jersey, then to Baltimore. After residing in Baltimore for awhile he moved back to New Jersey where he began pursuing a career in Die Forced Aluminum Extrusion Processing, under the great leadership and guidance of James Monroe, better known as (Jim). Kaleb worked for four different extrusion companies in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania areas. He worked hard learning all that he could about Aluminum Extrusion and Smeltering. After 12 years of skilled success in this business, Kaleb became known all over the Aluminum Extrusion spectrum as {K.B}, the First Class Die Correction and all around Aluminum Processing Consultant. Kaleb later moved to New York to renovate a plant called Aluminall, which he successfully restored and kept in business. Kaleb later relocated to South Dakota to help restore and save a plant that had been failing for 3 years. This company later became very successful with Kaleb's help and ingenuity. Following the success of this company Kaleb relocated once more to North Carolina where his help was needed once again at a plant named Croft Metals. This plant was in need of a Die Corrector and needed help in converting a small press and installing a Smelter. After successfully completing this assignment, he soon thereafter relocated to Utah, where his help again was much needed at a plant named Futura. At this time Futura was in the process of going out of business. This would prove to be Kaleb's most difficult challenge of his career. Kaleb went over, under, around, beyond and through every obstacle that got in his way. He turned the most difficult challenge into one of the best, and greatest successful accomplishments of his life long career. All of this was accomplished without the respect and or acknowledgement from any and all of accumulated management. After 24 years of service at Futura, Kaleb was forced to retire, but not before creating the opportunity for others to gain all the benefits and credit made possible through his years of hard work, dedication, and service. Kaleb Boyd was a dedicated and loving husband, father, brother, friend, and God Blessed him with a humble heart and spirit. Kaleb says, I guess it's not what you take with you when you leave this world behind, but it's what you leave behind when you go. To my Amazing Grace of 35 years: She's once, twice and three times a lady, my midnight train to Georgia, and I'd rather live in her world then without her in mine. God called Kaleb E.J.
