Karen Morgan Hall
February 7, 1958 – December 11, 2025
With a heart full of adventure and a soul driven by creativity, Karen Morgan Hall passed away peacefully on December 11th, 2025, after a brief but fierce battle with lung cancer. She was 67 years old.
Born in Ogden, Utah, on February 7th, 1958, to Kenneth and Peggy Morgan, Karen was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She grew up alongside her sister Lynda, and, after her mother’s remarriage to Wallace J. Hunt, she became part of a larger family including her step-siblings Janet, David, Dale, Don, and Doug.
At the age of 16, Karen met Bruce Hall, the love of her life. They were married on November 1st, 1974, and their shared journey took them many places, weaving a tapestry of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Together, they raised two daughters, Breanna and Kasie, who continue to carry forward Karen’s legacy of kindness and creativity.
A lifelong resident of Ogden, Karen made a career for herself in graphic design, where she worked at The Big Nickel, Standard Examiner and Ogden Regional Medical Center. She also owned and operated Inspiration Antiques, a small shop where her talent for spotting beauty in the ordinary shone brightly. After retiring, she continued to embrace her passion for design, freelancing and running a blog offering printable treasures for the home. Her creative eye and love for detail brought beauty into everything she touched.
Karen’s greatest joy was always her family. She found peace and adventure in the simplest moment, whether it was junkin’ with her daughters, hunting for vintage treasures, or asking the ever-curious question, "What's down that road?"
Traveling was another of Karen’s passions, and her most cherished trip was to Paris in 2007 with Bruce. Every adventure was another opportunity to explore, to learn, and to experience the world with a sense of wonder. Along the way, she welcomed two “bonus” kids, son-in-law David and daughter-in-law Julianna, who became a cherished part of her expanding family. The arrival of her grandchildren, Libertie and Aiden, filled her life with joy, and she proudly assumed the role of “Grandma,” a title she cherished.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Peggy, in-laws LaMont and Bonnie Hall, half-brother Ronald, and step-brother David. She leaves behind her beloved husband Bruce, daughters Breanna (David Dreyer) and Kasie (Julianna Perez), and grandchildren Libertie and Aiden. She also leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and the unyielding curiosity that defined her journey through life.
Karen’s warmth, her ability to make everyone feel like family, and her insatiable curiosity for what’s down that road will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. In honor of her adventurous spirit, her family invites you to always tell your loved ones you care, hug them often, never forget to text your mom when you get home, and to continue asking, "What's down that road?”
A celebration of Karen’s life will be held on Friday, December 19th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah 84404.
