Karna Dawn Larsen Obituary (1954 - 2003)

Karna Dawn Larsen April 1, 1954 - October 31, 2003 Karna passed away at the young age of 49, after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away with her kids and family by her side at her home in Ogden, Utah. She was born on April 1, 1954 in Collbran, CO to Miles Milton and Velma Grace McDaniel. She was educated and graduated at Plateau Valley School. On May 28, 1972 she married Douglas T. Larsen. They were married for 19 years and had five beautiful children together. They later divorced after moving to Utah. Karna worked for Sam's Club in Ogden for 12 years where she always did a wonderful job working in clothing and then in the bakery. She loved and enjoyed working at Sam's and all the wonderful friends she made there. She has a special place in her heart for her co-workers, and all the special friendships she made while employed there. She loved spending time taking walks outdoors, but her main love was with her kids and grandkids. Karna is survived by her mother, Velma Marek McDaniel of Green Valley, AZ. She is also survived by her four children, Dayna Larsen of Ogden; Amber (Tyson) Payne of Roy; Blaine Larsen of Ogden and her youngest son Travis Larsen of Ogden. She also has three beautiful grandkids that were the joy of her life. Bryant who was "Grandma's sidekick"; Lexi Dawn who will always be "Grandma's Princess" and Brayden who loved being "Grandma's Little Monkey". She also had one brother, Craig McDaniel of Collbran, CO and three sisters, Kay McDaniel and Barb Kimball of Arvada, CO and Patsy (Lou) Samson of Topeka, KS. Preceding her in death was her father, Miles McDaniel and her brother, Larry McDaniel. And she is finally reunited with her baby boy, Dustin Ted Larsen. She will be deeply missed by all whose hearts she touched. And her memory will never be forgotten but passed on through her kids.
