Karter Yvonne Harris-Thain, the second baby daughter born to her parents, Paul Spencer Thain and Kelsey Harris, began her journey on earth delivered Ogden Regional Medical Center on November 8, 2016. Karter Yvonne was lovingly embraced by her parents and sister, Devyn Jule Harris-Thain, who was born only 15 months earlier. Until the tragic passing of our sweet Karter on March 16, 2017, Karter and Devyn were destined to be best friends for eternity - blessing their family with joy, happiness and visions of great memories to come.

During Karter's short time on earth, she developed into the exponentially younger sister to Devyn Jule, creating a bond that could only be broken by the excruciating passing of Karter. Karter will forever be our beautiful, sweet baby with a personality, spirit and presence, confirming she was meant to be that important addition to our family.

Karter leaves behind her paternal grandmother, Mardean Thain of Bountiful; maternal grandmother, Tamra Marie Harris of North Ogden; Naquita Nicole Thain-Butler, aunt to Karter and Devyn and the mother of Raya Amerie (Yaya) Wandalowski and Kiara Valenzuela of San Diego, California; Brooke Marie Pincombe, aunt and mother of Jace Charles, Kobe John and Bella Marie-Faye, all of North Ogden. Also 26 aunts and uncles with countless cousins around the nation.

Karter is preceded in death by her grandfather, Melvin Clair Thain; paternal grandmother, Donna Yvonne Butler, formally of Indianapolis, Indiana; maternal grandfather, Stephen Jule Harris, Tremonton; great-grandparents, Robert F. and Francis Blackburn of Brigham City, Utah.

A short viewing for family and friends will be on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, beginning at 4 to 4:30 p.m. followed by a short service at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden.

Kelsey and Paul would like to express their deep appreciation for the support, patience and the respect for their family's privacy as we prepared our hearts and souls for the times ahead without our Karter.
