Kash Van Meeteren Click here to listen to Funeral Recording Eden - Kash Van Meeteren, 37, died October 11, 2010. He was born October 30, 1972 in Ogden, Utah to Henry Clair and Shawna Cobabe Van Meeteren. Kash Van Meeteren will be greatly missed. His friendly, country manner was known by all. Kash loved hunting with his buddies at their hunting camp, the Gertson Hilton. This year was his final hunt for Kash. He was at his bliss as he spent time riding with his good friends and enjoying time at the mountain that he loved so much. Kash lived at Powder Mountain as a small child and spent his life enjoying his time on skis, snowmobiles and jeep safaris. The Powder Mountain family loved Kash and he had so many adventures there. He attended Valley School in Huntsville where he created lifelong friendships. He attended Weber High School where he enjoyed time spent with the Spikers and tried out life as a bull rider. Kash was a dedicated and hard working rancher. He worked the ground and cared for the animals. His labor was a labor of love as he worked with Clair operating the family ranch. After residing in Clearfield for many years, Kash made a home at the ranch in Eden for his wife Julia Van Meeteren and sons, Reggie Jordan and Keifer Johnson. Kash so enjoyed taking his boys to their sporting events and spending time riding 4-wheelers and motor bikes. Kash enjoyed his fishing trips to Naughton, spending time with his friends and was never afraid of hard work or of having a good time. Sitting next to Julia at a campfire ring and a few cold ones with friends made a perfect night for Kash. Kash is survived by his wife Julia; sons, Kiefer Johnson, Jordan Johnson and Reggie Johnson; parents Clair & Shawna Van Meeteren; grandparents Dr. Alvin and June Cobabe and Dorothy Van Meeteren; sister Jamie (Doug) Lythgoe; nieces and nephews, Carlie, Jaxen, Jameson; many aunts, uncles and cousins; in-laws Ronald (Judy ) Bradshaw. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Huntsville Stake Center, 6450 East 1900 North, Eden. The family will greet friends on Friday, October 15th at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment, Eden Meadow View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, an account in the name of Julia Van Meeteren, Reggie, Jordan and Keifer Johnson has been established at Zions' Bank to assist the family that Kash valued so dearly.
