Katherine Mildred Boyd Craig Obituary (2007)

Katherine Mildred Boyd Craig, 75, passed away December 14, 2007 from complications after heart surgery. She was born January 10, 1932 in Bridgewater Township, Michigan to Harry Lester and Mildred Melissa Irwin Boyd. She married William Hugh Craig on April 5, 1950 in Adrian, Michigan. Together they raised a family living throughout the country and overseas, finally settling in Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed knitting and tatting. She was very loving, kind and compassionate and loved to laugh and spend time with her family. She is survived by her husband, William; children; Glenn (Mary) Craig, Orem; Kathy (Douglas) Dean, Layton; Cheryl Craig, Farmington; Brian (Cecilia) Craig, Lehi; Dawn (Lynn) Richards, Farmington; Dianne (Mark) Flanders, Kaysville; Denise (Jon) Rogers, Kaysville; Scott (Courtney) Craig, Las Vegas, NV; Sandra (Brett) Palmer, Clearfield; Heather (Randy) Powell, Clinton; 39 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings; Leona Brainerd, Alice Cherry, Blanch Cutler, Lester Boyd, Carol Bowles, all of Adrian, MI; and Margaret House, Lake City, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Carey Cecil Craig; a grandson, Jon Nelson Rogers; and a sister, Helen Bieske. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Gailey Park 1st Ward, 331 S. 50 W., Kaysville. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Myers Mortuary, 250 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, and Wednesday at the church from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to services.
