Kathrine Henderson Rhees Obituary (1943 - 2001)

OGDEN - Kathrine Henderson Rhees passed away early Monday, February 26, 2001, at her home following a long illness. She was born March 4, 1943 in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Phyllis Nan Pullam and Leland Henderson. Kathy married her love Roger Larry (Pete) Rhees February 18, 1960. Their love in this life was to be short-lived as he preceded her in death in 1976. Her life was one of service, sacrifice and dedication to her children, grandchildren and to others around her. She was devoted to them and always put care for their welfare above that of her own. She worked hard to care for those she loved and many of her life pursuits reflected that love of others. She was a provider of care for mentally disabled adults and a home health care aid for elderly patients as well as running her own hair styling salon for a time. Surviving are her three children: Kelly (Don) Weston, Plain City; Kip (Sue) Rhees, Layton; Kim (Glen) Allen, Clinton; 12 grandchildren; and numerous "adopted" children and grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and a sister, Bob (Debbie) Henderson, Sumner, Washington; Lyman (Kathy) Henderson, Roy; JoAnn Hamblin, Ogden; as well as her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her spouse; her parents; her stepfather; her brother Floyd; and sister Nan. Mother, we will miss you greatly but we rejoice with you in your glorious reunion with loved ones.
