Kaylynn Wilcken Ash Obituary (1939 - 2017)

KayLynn Wilcken Ash March 24,1939 - September 16,2017 KayLynn passed away due to many health complications including hip replacement, kidney failure and heart failure. KayLynn was the oldest of six children born to Carl Wilcken and Maurine Wilcken of Fillmore Utah. She attended school in Fillmore & Pleasant Grove Utah. KayLynn married Leonard Ash of Pleasant Grove and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on July 26,1957. KayLynn and Leonard went on to make their home in Brigham City Utah where they raised 7 children. KayLynn was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. During her life she held many callings within the church, including Relief Society President and Primary President. KayLynn also enjoyed bowling in a league with her friends. She was also involved in the Women's Committee Club. During their retirement, KayLynn and Leonard enjoyed working as temple ordinance workers at the Ogden Utah temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for six years. KayLynn is survived by her seven children: Racquel Ash (Lynne), Christine Gerhardt (Kevin), Robert Ash (Annette), Sonja Patane (Larry), Steven Ash (Dani), Ed Ash, and Kara Ash. Also 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also, she is survived by sisters: Suzanne Hadfield (Doug) and Jill Wilcock. KayLynn was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Ash, her parents Maurine Wilcken and Carl Wilcken, an also three infant siblings: Carleen, Carl Edward, and Bonnie. Funeral Services will be held Thursday September 21, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Box Elder Stake Center, 420 S. 800 W., Brigham City, Utah. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday September 20,2017 at 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City. Also, a viewing will be held before the funeral on Thursday from 12:30-1:10 p.m. at the Stake Center.
