Kenneth Lelan Davis passed away December 17, 2023, at his home from a terminal illness. He was followed by the love of his life, Diana Davis, who passed away less than 12 hours later on December 18, 2023, also at her home.
Kenneth was born to Lelan and Alice Marie (Rasmussen) Davis on March 23,1945 in Brigham City, Utah. He grew up in Corinne where he worked on his family's dairy farm.
Diana Davis was born to Anthony and Ruth (Barker) Marrone on December 2, 1946 in Brigham City, Utah. She grew up in Willard, Utah.
They both attended Box Elder High School where they met and fell in love. They were married on December 2, 1964. Their marriage was solemnized a year later in the Logan Temple. They lived in Corinne where they raised their children. Ken worked and eventually ran the family dairy farm.
They both were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where they served in many capacities throughout their lives. They had strong testimonies of the gospel which they showed through their actions and quiet service.
They had 7 children: Danyelle (Ralph) Benedict, Wendy (Jeff) Stoker, Nate (Christie) Davis, Courtney (Steven) Zollinger, Jamie (Rob) Donigan, Brady (Amanda) Davis, and Brittney (Caleb) Fifield. Their family grew to include 27 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses, and riding in his side by side, especially if it involved being with his kids, grandchildren, and several special friends.
Diana enjoyed working in her yard, cooking, and throwing large family parties. She is especially remembered by her grandchildren for her elaborate Easter Egg hunts, summer water parties, and Bingo games, where every grandchild left with several prizes.
They both enjoyed being with family. They cherished the times they went on vacation to Yachats, Oregon where Diana would spend hours searching for agates and other treasures along the shore. Ken would often sit near her while she dug for her treasure, just happy to be near her. They both created so many fun memories there with their children and grandchildren by playing card games, marching on the beach, flying kites, and just sitting and watching the ocean. They are leaving behind a legacy of family love and traditions.
It was love at first sight when he first met Diana on a blind date. Ken loved Diana with all his heart. During these past few months, the two were never apart, trying their best to take care of each other.
Ken and Diana were preceded in death by their parents and one grandson. Diana was preceded in death by her sister, Patty Boerns.
A Funeral for both of them will be held in the Corinne LDS Chapel located at 2335 N. 4000 W., Corinne, Utah, on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. In honoring their wishes, there will be no viewing services prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the Willard City Cemetery.
