Kenneth M. Kaser

OGDEN - Kenneth M. Kaser passed away Monday morning January 4, 2010 at his home Ogden Utah.

Kenneth was born in Cortez, CO August 3, 1920 but spent much of his younger life growing up in his beloved state of Wyoming, which he always called home. After graduating from high school he attended Success Business College in Denver, CO for two years.

Kenneth joined the military in December 1943 spending time at various bases but mostly in California dealing with either personnel or aircraft. He was honorably discharged from military service in 1946 and began work as an aircraft mechanic on Hill Air Force Base doing a job he loved for the next 29 years. After retiring from HAFB he brought his broad knowledge of fixing things and machining to positions at Weber State University and the Ogden ATC. Even into his later years Kenneth could always be counted to know, fix, repair or make something from scratch. He loved the outdoors and especially hunting in the mountains of Utah and Wyoming.

He was a proud patriot of our country, well read and mentally active until the end. We are glad he is now free of his ailing body and able to reunite with his family and friends who have gone before. May heaven be as special to him as his beloved Wyoming.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his Parents George U. Kaser and Grace B. Kaser, sister June Morse, and brother Edwin Kaser, and his grandson Andrew Kaser. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 64 years Virginia C. Kaser, Daughters Carol Herzog (Troy) of North Ogden, UT, Susan Kingsbury (Brian) of North Ogden, UT, son Richard Kaser (Sidney) of Denver, CO and his brother Lee Kaser (Mary) of Wilmington, DE. Kenneth is grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

For family and friends wishing to pay their respects a viewing will be held Saturday January 8th, 2011 at the Myers Mortuary in Roy from 11:30-12:30 p.m. (5865 So 1900 W, Roy, UT 84067) and subsequent graveside service at the Roy City Cemetery at 1:00 pm (2300 W. 5300 So, Roy, UT).
