Kent A Hall, 77, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully Saturday, November 26, 2011.

Kent was born in Payson, Utah, on November 8, 1934, to Truman D and Zelma Anna Anderson Hall (both deceased). He had one sister, Maurine Rosenlof, and two brothers, Dan Jay Hall and Maurice Barker Hall (deceased). He graduated from Payson High School, attended BYU, and served in the LDS Australia mission from 1956-58. Following his mission he met Ione Budge. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 23, 1959. During this time he was inducted into the Army where he served for two years. He worked for Utah Power & Light (PacifiCorp) for approximately 30 years before retiring in 1990.

He and his wife served as part time service missionaries in the Ogden Inner City mission as well as full time missionaries in the Family and Church History mission in Salt Lake City. Most recently they served as temple ordinance workers in the Ogden Temple.

Prior to moving to Pleasant View, where he resided at the time of his death, he lived with his family in Lewiston, Utah for 17 years. It was there he touched many lives as Scoutmaster and in many other scouting activities. He also served on numerous Woodbadge staffs and was awarded the Silver Beaver for his service in scouting.

He is survived by his wife, Ione; six children and nine grandchildren: Jean Harris, Diane Demars (Ron and son Ryan), Boyd Kent Hall (Danelle and daughters, Chantelle, Marissa, Brittany), RaNae Wamsley (Scott and daughters, Makell, Shyanne), Steven Budge Hall (Kelcie and daughters, Linzee, Kylie, Emilee) and Annalee.

Funeral will be held in his honor at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at the Pleasant View 7th Ward Chapel, 900 West Pleasant View Dr. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, November 29th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. He will be interred at the Santaquin, Utah Cemetery where military honors will be accorded at 3:30 p.m.
