Kipp H Baty Obituary (1962 - 2009)

HARPER WARD - On May 19, 2009 our father, friend, son, grandpa, uncle and brother, Kipp H. Baty, born December 15, 1962, passed away after a lifetime of "close calls". He was preceded in death by his son Lucas Kipp Leon, his mother Jerilyn Holmgren Baty, his grandparents, Dan and Effie Baty and Parley and Arvilla Holmgren as well as his famous horse Flo. He was born and raised in Harper Ward, Utah where he loved ranch life, farming, fixing fence and the mountains. He is survived by his father, Max Baty, his brothers Kirk and Mark, his sister Lisa, his children Meghan Stark (Justin), Beau, Carli Jo, Zachary and three grandchildren Karlee, Corbin, and Dallee; all of Harper Ward, as well as many nieces, nephews, and family. He was a friend to all and loved to talk "philosophy". He didn't tolerate "rude behavior" and taught his family not to judge and to be a friend to all. He loved his horse and best friend, Flo and is sitting tall in the saddle today. He served an LDS mission to St. Louis, Missouri, where he still has close friends. He made friends everywhere he went. He was a cow-man by nature and a rancher by choice. He always said that his best friends were his children and his happiest moments in life were hunting trips with them and the wonderful moments that they all enjoyed giggling together. Dad will always be remembered for his common sense, light hearted attitude, and the simple things in life that he treasured. His last instructions to his loved ones were: Remember me with a smile, or not at all! The family would like to give a special thanks to Charlie Perry and Craig Warr for their love and friendship to Kipp. After leaving this world, he once again gave all he had by being an organ donor. We love you Dad and you will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at the Brigham City North Stake Center, 620 N. 300 E., Brigham City. The Viewing will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and from 12:00 to 1:10 pm. at the Church. Interment will be in Calls Fort Cemetery.
