Koye Jeanette Reavis Messenger Obituary (1931 - 2010)

Koye Reavis Messenger PERRY - Koye Jeanette Hatton Reavis Messenger, 79 passed away on Saturday May 22, 2010 at home. Koye was born in Fillmore Utah on January 4, 1931 a daughter of Elmer Clark and Hazel Nioma Wright Hatton. She married William Sherman Reavis on December 25, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada, he died on August 25, 1988. She later married Gary Wayne Messenger, he died on August 11, 2009. Koye was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed crocheting and doing ceramics. Surviving are her children: Kathleen Jeanette (Phil) Banes, Anaheim, CA; Walter Clark (Alana) Reavis, Perry, UT; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also two sisters Elizabeth Fern Menches, Anaheim, CA; and Madeline Naomi Hatton, St. George, UT. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one daughter, Vicki Lee Reavis, one son William Westley Reavis, two brothers, Jim Hatton, Vernon Hatton, sisters, Ruth Shilds, Bonnie Jean Messenger, Maxcine Cracroft, Opal Dixon, and Florence Robison. Special thanks to Sharon Willie, Mickey McWilliams Larry Dille, and Dr. John Markeson. Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Perry 3rd Ward Chapel, 1290 W. 2950 S., Perry, UT. Interment will be in the Ogden Cemetery.
