Kris James Sorensen Obituary (1979 - 2009)

Kristopher "Kris" James Sorensen OGDEN - Kris Sorensen, 30, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 25, 2009. He was born April 15, 1979 to Barbara Robinson and James David Sorensen. He was raised in Ogden, graduated from Washington High School in 1996, and went on to receive two associate degrees in Science from Weber State University. He loved four wheeling everywhere from the salt flats to the highest mountain, boating, swimming, bowling, camping, and campfires, big campfires. On February 14, 2004 Kris married his school sweetheart, Lisa Williams. They later divorced. He is survived by his grandfather, Melvin Sorensen; his parents, Jim Sorensen and Barbara and Max Barrow; sister, Michelle (Eddie) Martinez; brother, Matt Sorensen; step-sister, Natalie Barrow; step-brother, Todd (Lori) Barrow; fiancAC., Stevie Hildebrandt; nephews, Anthony and Kaydin Martinez and Jalan Barrow; nieces, Nevaeh Martinez and Courtney Barrow; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sid and Ivy Robinson and Darlene Sorensen; five cousins, and his beloved and treasured cats, Cupid and Sabrina. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. Kris wished to be cremated.
