Kurt ''Tiny'' Warren Bell Obituary (1945 - 2003)

Kurt Warren "Tiny" Bell CLEARFIELD - Kurt Bell was born in Tooele, Utah on February 25, 1945 to Helen H. McMillan Bell and Victor Earl Franklin Bell. He graduated from high school in Tooele. After graduation he joined the Navy where he served for three years in California; then was in the Naval Reserve in Ogden for an additional three years. Kurt graduated from Salt Lake Community College in art. He then attended Weber State University. He retired from Hill Air Force Base. He painted two large wall murals at the Sweetwater Lift Lodge in Park City, one of which was 15 feet by 20 feet and the other was 15 feet by 10 feet. He just finished this last painting in May of this year. For many years Kurt played a bass guitar for two separate orchestras that played for the senior citizens for lunches, alternating between Washington Terrace and the Golden Hour Center in Ogden. He also played for the Golden Hour Senior Citizen's Saturday night dances. Kurt is survived by his mother, Helen Bell of Clearfield; his aunt Orla Bell of Salt Lake City; his aunt Josie Bell of Evanston, Wyoming; three cousins, Nadene Neville Lester and JoLynn Bell Holmes of Evanston, Wyoming and LuAnn Bell Pederson of Clovis, California. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Bell, his aunt Bertha Bell Neville, his two uncles John W. Bell and Ronald Bell and a cousin, Lyle Bell. Kurt, ("Tiny" as he was called by the seniors) died on Thursday evening, July 31 at the University of Utah Hospital.
