Lanae Wright Jones Olson Obituary (1935 - 2013)

LaNae Olson LaNae Wright Jones Olson was released from her earthly pain on Sunday October 6, 2013, after a courageous 6 month battle with cancer. She was born March 3, 1935 to Charles Melvin and Hilda Erickson Wright, and was raised in Lewisville, ID. She was married Nov 6th, 1953 to Jack L. Jones, they had 4 children together. Jack died in 1999. LaNae then met and fell in love with Hal Olson and they were married on March 3, 2006. They were later sealed in the Ogden Temple on Nov. 9, 2006. They had 11 children between them, along with 35 grandchildren and 62 great grandchildren. LaNae had a prosperous career as the manager and designer for Shepherd Manufacturing in Ogden; then moved on to become a real estate agent until she retired. She was an active member of the LDS church, holding many different callings. In her early adult years, she loved being involved with the church's roadshow productions and later she enjoyed working in the primary. She was a tireless worker, and was always willing to help wherever needed. She was a loving mom and always put her children before herself. She is survived by her husband, Hal Olson (Ogden), and her four children: Rick Jones of St George, Kandee Butters (Carl) of Morgan, Russell Jones (Sheila) of Las Vegas, and Randy Jones of Palm Springs. Our family would like to thank Envision Hospice care for their help and caring during this difficult time. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 8th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park.
