Lanell Jean Smith Obituary (1968 - 2001)

SALT LAKE CITY - Lanell Jean Smith, 33, a daughter of Arvin Dee and Lillie May Smith, passed away at home Tuesday, November 27, 2001, into the loving arms of her grandparents. Lanell was born May 7, 1968 in Salt Lake City. She attended Ogden High School, graduating in 1986. She also attended L.D.S. Business College. She was employed by Litza's Pizza in Salt Lake City for the past 15 years. Lanell loved to travel with family and friends enjoying many memorable trips to California. She was a girl scout and helped chaperone girls on trips. She loved science fiction, especially Star Wars and Star Trek. She was a very loving person and very giving of herself to everyone. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and cats. Lanell was active in the L.D.S. Church, including callings in Young Womens, Primary and being a visiting teacher. Surviving are her parents of Ogden; three brothers, Ray and Melvin of Ogden; and Ted of Salt Lake City; one sister, Nila of Ogden; and a good friend, Scott McCulloch. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Basil and Emma Miles, and A. Owen and Myra C. Smith.
